Join forces?

Hi Phillip. I realize that I bogarted the "JSON" page with my parser, simply because it was the only of its kind when I uploaded it a few months ago. I'll gladly add a link (or wait, you can, too right?) to your page "for a JS version" or we could just merge the pages.

Also, in the JS realm, I guess since eval() doesn't exist you can't take advantage of the "native" parsing like in true JS? I just realized both of us might feel really silly if it's already built into UnityScript =\ -Scone


Sure, I'll post a link to yours and you can post a link to mine. I hadn't realized you'd taken the escaped characters into account, sorry bout that. Actually in the latest version of UnityScript, eval() does exist, but just like in real JS it pulls up the compiler and wastes a heck of a lot of time compiling it (after translating it into Boo), so writing an interpreter is a much better alternative. BTW, you might want to sign your comments in the future by typing four tildes (~ ~ ~ ~) ;-). Ppeterson 17:28, 4 April 2011 (PDT)

Errors?

I get the following errors even from direct drag drop to Assets: 31,15: BCE0005 Unknown identifier: 'Exception' 91,9: BCE0005 Unknown identifier: 'Double' 116,31 BCE0005 Unknown identifier: 'Convert' Help? :-\ (Ina 18:14, 29 April 2011 (PDT))

Odd.. what version/license of Unity are you using, and are you using any other plugins/libraries? For now, try adding `System.` to the beginning of each of those identifiers. So, System.Exception, System.Double, System.Convert, and let me know how that turns out. Ppeterson 03:10, 19 May 2011 (PDT)
