UnityScript versus JavaScript

Hey, I started your article request (UnityScript versus JavaScript). ppeterson 11:12, 10 April 2011 (PDT)

It would be nice if your article referenced my old article Head First into Unity with UnityScript — unless it's been superseded — since this covers a lot of ground you don't get to.

Hey there. I noticed you took over some fixes with regards to JSONParse -- thanks for that. I'm retiring the original JSONParse because, frankly, I'm a little scared of how bad the coding is. I am also working on a replacement, though, which I think I'm going to call JSONParser.

Anyways, this all leaves me in the awkward position of wanting to delete the wiki page but also feeling obligated to leave it up because of your contributions. How would you like to handle that? Ppeterson (talk) 05:27, 9 April 2013 (CEST)

I guess I'd prefer you leave the old page up but link it to your new project. (Better than having existing links go to 404...)

Having gone to considerable effort to make consuming the output of JSONParse easier, I've become very disenchanted with UnityScript and am thinking of taking the plunge and switching over to C# for all my future Unity development (it's pretty sad that UnityScript is so un-JavaScript-like that it's EASIER to consume JSON from C#). I agree, UnityScript has some major deficiencies as a language. C# is definitely more structured and easy to understand at a first glance what's going on.

Regarding the wiki page, I'll leave it up then, with a note that I don't recommend anyone use that code for anything :P Ppeterson (talk) 20:50, 13 April 2013 (CEST)
