Been involved with VR since the early 1990's, very happy to see it coming back!
I've been using Unity since version 2.x, and each version gets better and better.
I'm based at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada (about an hour west of Toronto). I run the local VR Meetup group, and I'm a regular attendee at the Toronto one.
