How to get these to work?

I wanted to try templates and thought this would be a good place to start, but I can't get it to work. http://unify.bluegillweb.com/scriptwiki/index.php/User:Aarku

It works fine on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDevGames http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Lowercase&action=edit

I wonder what is different? --Aarku 09:15, 24 April 2006 (GMT)

I suspect the problem is that the syntax highlighter affects certain kinds of content which it isn't supposed to touch. See the "Please note..." footer on the edit page for another example of the syntax highlighter mangling things. --NCarter 09:40, 24 April 2006 (GMT)

Looks like the problem is that the syntax parser is triggered by all divs, and not code block elements as expected. If I use span instead of div, it works. I didn't just use span, though, since the template doesn't function properly without adding a load of other templates first. In the name of simplicity, I just took out the container element and all the other references and left it as a plain text template. --NCarter 12:59, 28 April 2006 (GMT)
